  13.                            What is ClipperNet?

  16.         ClipperNet is a specialized network of BBS's that are
  17.         intrested in the subject of the XBase-Compilers: Clipper,
  18.         FoxPro, FCO/Force and dBase.

  20.         ClipperNet was started in June 1991 and is currently being
  21.         lead by Max Bressel (2:240/5300) and Mike Paschen (2:240/5500)

  25.                          Who may join ClipperNet ?

  28.         Any Node is free to join ClipperNet, but there is a maximum
  29.         of 2 CLN nodes in each local telephonezone (Area code in
  30.         Zone 1.)  In accordance with the RC (ZC) this maximum can
  31.         be exceeded, after rectification with CLN-HQ.

  33.         The CLN Nodes must allow FREQ's to all nodes even points
  34.         and unlisted ones. A free download of 20 minutes and
  35.         500 kb at 2400 Baud should be allowed as well.

  37.         A node does not have to carry all CLN File-Echos but a feeding
  38.         node should carry all areas to offer them for his downlinks. It
  39.         is compulsary to carry ALL CLN Mail-Echos though !

  41.         CLN - ClipperNet is available at all Filebones in the US/Europe
  42.         as well as through Satellite ("Planet Connect").

  44.         To get the current routing-file frequest CL-ROUTE.TXT from
  45.         CLN-HQ 2:240/5300 or 2:240/5500.

  48.                           Who may hatch files ?

  51.         Only RCs and NCs may hatch files into CLN. (Zone 1: Files
  52.         should be sent to 1:3802/213 for hatching. This may be subject
  53.         to change as CLN grows). Before hatching any CLN File they MUST
  54.         be checked for viruses with the latest available scanner.

  61.         The idea behind ClipperNet is to spread information and new
  62.         XBase Files (Clipper, dBase, FoxPro, FCO/Force) throughout
  63.         the world.

  96.         All Files should be packed with ZIP or ARJ. We use Arj as a
  97.         standard in ClipperNet. To reach a high transfer-rate
  98.         all TIC's should be packed as well. (Not required)

  104.         In case your Fido-Adress changes, send the information to
  105.         2:240/5300, so that we can update the Routing-File CL-ROUTE.TXT
  106.         (which is frequestable) asap. (Zone 1: Updates can be sent to
  107.         1:3802/213)

  109.         We are planning to set up a nodelist of its own for CLN in the
  110.         near future. A questionary will be sent through the File-Echos
  111.         of CLN shortly !
